Job summary

Superfeet is seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the Product Development and Product Engineering teams, driving initiatives to shorten time-to-market and enhance product performance and profitability. This executive will align the Product Department strategy with actionable priorities while maintaining brand integrity across projects.

The role requires 8+ years in product development leadership within consumer products, experience with PLM and CAD tools, and a strong track record

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience leading product development, technical development, or commercialization in a consumer products environment.
• Experience with PLM systems and CAD tools.
• Experience in footwear, insoles, orthotics, outdoor, performance or related product categories is strongly desired.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with suppliers and vendors to bring products from concept through commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Product Development team across Product Development and Product Engineering.
• Proactively manage and organize the workflow for all members of the Product Development team.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen product quality, execution and speed-to-market.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce time-to-market and advance the function, value and profitability of our products.
• Contribute to the creation of the overall Product Department strategy and translate it into clear priorities, plans and actions for the Product Development team.
• Lead and manage the product development process.
• Oversee the timely creation, delivery, approval and maintenance of all technical product information to ensure projects meet needs, cost targets and schedule goals.
• Ensure effective Product Development team communication with suppliers and vendor partners throughout the product development process.
• Ensure uniformity and consistency of brand standards across all product projects.
