Job summary

Instrumentl is seeking a Head of Product in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead our product management team as we become the AI-native operating system for grant-funded organizations.

You will own a core product area (GrantOS) from roadmap to shipped work, partnering with engineering and design to ship AI-powered features while maintaining quality and velocity. This is a builder’s role with significant strategic impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product management, owning a whole product or core product end to end in B2B SaaS.
• Experience taking a product from 0 to 1 and scaling it with measurable customer or business outcomes.
• Hands-on builder: prototype, write specs, and ship products yourself.
• Experience managing and developing PMs, including hiring and coaching.
• Ability to set strategy across multiple product areas and make investment tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Be a strong voice for the customer and develop PMs as customer advocates.
• Own customer outcomes and engagement across product areas.
• Lead early products from founders through launch and ongoing adoption.
• Engage with customers via calls, site visits, and conferences to inform decisions.
• Scope and sequence work, ship a minimal end-to-end version, then iterate.
• Own a core product area (GrantOS) from roadmap to shipped work.
• Prototype and build with engineering/design using AI tools to ship quickly.
• Help the team build agents with eval loops and quality metrics.
• Lead and develop PMs with clear decision-making and velocity while maintaining quality.
• Partner with founders to translate product vision into an executable roadmap.
