Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive executive experience leading global procurement and P2P.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale Motive's global procure-to-pay operations and ensure end-to-end process excellence.
  • Define and execute Motive's global P2P strategy across sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing operations.
  • Drive enterprise-wide cost savings initiatives and value creation through strategic vendor portfolios and negotiations.
  • Partner with C-suite and cross-functional leaders (Finance, IT, Legal, Security) to enable strategic priorities.
  • Modernize procurement systems with AI and automation while maintaining governance and controls.

Job description

  • Motive is looking for a Vice President, Procure-to-Pay (“P2P”) to lead, scale, and transform our global end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, and purchasing operations
  • Reporting as an executive leader, this role owns the overarching vision, organizational architecture, and cross-functional strategies that ensure Motive maximizes commercial leverage, scales efficiently, and maintains robust operational controls across all business units
  • Executive Leadership & Vision: Architect and execute Motive’s global procure-to-pay strategy across strategic sourcing, vendor management, purchasing operations, and continuous process transformation
  • Commercial Strategy & Savings: Drive enterprise-wide cost savings initiatives and value creation by leading high-stakes profitability initiatives, commercial frameworks, and vendor portfolio strategies
  • Key Deal Architect: Direct the negotiation strategy for critical, high-value vendor contracts, specifically across enterprise software, technology infrastructure, and global business services
  • P2P Systems & Processes: Ensure P2P systems at Motive are best-in‑class, designed to scale for growth both in volume and globally. Develop P2P processes to be efficient and automated by leveraging AI and other tools, while also maintaining compliance to public company level standards
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment: Serve as a core partner to the C‑suite, departmental senior leaders and key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, IT, Legal, Security, Workplace, and G&A to enable strategic corporate priorities
  • Scale & Governance: Establish enterprise‑grade procurement policies, risk mitigation frameworks, and internal controls that safeguard the business while optimizing the employee experience
  • Operational Excellence: Define and optimize the end‑to‑end intake, review, and governance model for enterprise‑wide vendor onboarding and tool acquisition
  • Data & Analytics: Establish advanced spend analytics, vendor performance scorecards, cycle‑time tracking, and savings reporting for executive‑level visibility
  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and scale a world‑class, high‑performing global organization across procurement operations, accounts payable and strategic sourcing
  • Fiscal Responsibility: Direct departmental capital allocation, support department leaders in managing operating budgets, and ensure strategic cost discipline aligned with long‑term financial goals
  • Strategic Advisory: Serve as the principal executive advisor on procurement risk, vendor consolidation, trade‑offs, and spend optimization
  • What success looks like:
  • Delivers enterprise‑level savings and optimizes total cost of ownership across key global spend categories
  • Establishes a highly responsive, business‑enabling procurement engine that balances control with speed
  • Implements robust, scalable systems and workflows that seamlessly support Motive’s global expansion
  • Elevates vendor selection standards, executive‑level negotiations, and end‑to‑end vendor lifecycle management
  • Instills an accountable, data‑driven operating culture with clear performance metrics across the P2P ecosystem

Deep experience overseeing software, SaaS, IT infrastructure, and complex indirect spend categories in high-growth environments15+ years of progressive executive experience leading global procurement, strategic sourcing, P2P, and other relevant operational functionsExtensive organizational leadership experience, with a proven ability to attract, build, and retain top‑tier leaders and teamsProven track record architecting enterprise vendor negotiations and delivering substantial, measurable savings at scaleThis executive role requires a transformational leader and seasoned operator who pairs strategic sourcing expertise with executive presenceThe ideal candidate will architect enterprise vendor relationships, modernize global workflows through world class systems and processes, align executive stakeholders, and drive substantial bottom‑line savings while enabling business velocityTrack record of building strong partnerships with C‑suite and executive stakeholders to align cross‑functional prioritiesExecutive‑level communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a track record of driving strategic consensusDemonstrated experience modernizing enterprise procurement technology stacks, policy frameworks, and operating modelsInfluential communicator and skilled executive consensus‑builderThe applicant must be authorized to receive and access those commodities and technologies controlled under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
