Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of leadership experience in a physician office
• Strong knowledge of electronic medical record systems
• Excellent communication with staff and providers

Responsibilities

• Follow corporate and practice policies and procedures
• Develop annual budgets and manage cost effectiveness during budget preparation
• Accurately execute established payroll procedures, including time cards and timekeeping
• Respond to patient inquiries
• Coordinate maintenance, repair and cleaning of the practice; monitor appearance of building and office space
• Supervise work performance of staff to ensure adherence to standards
• Review work performance and make HR decisions on pay, promotions, transfers
• Train new staff regarding department policies and procedures
• Orient new colleagues to area and tasks
• Establish work schedules and assign staff to areas
• Counsel, discipline and discharge as necessary; retraining if needed
• Communicate with Director on operations
• Act as liaison between support staff and providers
• Monitor staffing to ensure patient flow
• Develop and monitor provider schedules and on-call schedules
• Provide coverage as needed in administrative or clinical areas
• Conduct regular meetings with medical and support staff
• Maintain petty cash and reconcile funds
• Control supply ordering/receiving and inventory
• Participate in Mandatory Education
• Perform other duties as needed
