Job summary

ASML US, LLC is seeking a Director to build and lead a new Physics Algorithms Engineering team for the e-beam inspection business. You will guide development of physics-based modeling, SEM image formation, and electron-beam simulations, integrating AI-driven methods to improve defect detection and performance.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration across product, engineering, and marketing teams. Hybrid work with international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 5+ engineers.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling engineering teams.
• 10+ years of technical leadership in physics-based modeling, computer vision, ML, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing physics algorithms team.
• Deliver production-ready algorithm solutions with regular software releases.
• Drive roadmap for physics-based modeling technologies and AI-enabled development practices.
• Collaborate with CV, ML, product engineering, and marketing teams to align deliverables.
