Job summary

California Injury PLC in Sherman Oaks, CA seeks a Director of Intake and Client Acquisition for a contract role. You will lead a high-performing intake operation, convert leads to retained clients, and build an in-house intake department. The ideal candidate has run intake processes, trained teams, and managed KPIs while maintaining ethical standards in client communications. Salary is $100K-$120K per year.

Qualifications

• Plaintiff personal injury intake experience. At least three to five years in intake at a high-performing plaintiff personal injury or contingency-fee law firm, with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Proven conversion results. A documented track record of converting leads into signed retainers with specific figures.
• Direct closing experience. Has personally handled intake calls and signed prospective clients.
• Inside knowledge of how intake works. Experience building or improving intake operations with scripts/workflows.
• PI case qualification knowledge. Understanding liability, injuries, coverage, UM/UIM, and common case types.
• Leadership on the team. Experience training or leading intake staff.
• Systems proficiency. Hands-on with CasePeer or similar, e-signature, and call/text platforms.
• Data fluency. Ability to build funnel reports and identify leaks in the process.
• Ethical boundaries. Understanding professional responsibility limits in law-firm intake.
• Communication. Calm, empathetic, persuasive when dealing with injured clients.
