Job summary

PureGym US is seeking a Head of HR to lead the US People team during rapid growth in New York and New Jersey. Based in the NY/NJ area, you will influence the people agenda with a local leadership team while leveraging Group HR support as needed.

You will report to the President of PureGym US and collaborate with the Group HR Director in the UK. If you excel in ambiguity, scaling, and building a people-first culture, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading HR operations in multi-site, field-based organizations.
• Deep knowledge of US employment law and regulations (federal, state, and local).
• Demonstrated success building and leading engaged HR teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive gym recruitment and build the US employer brand in partnership with Group Talent Acquisition.
• Deliver US compensation and benefits strategy with Group HR; oversee annual compensation review and benefits administration.
• Embed development pathways and succession plans to fuel growth and internal talent pipelines.
• Lead engagement, culture, and communications; drive annual engagement surveys and action planning.
• Act as US employment law expert; manage employee relations with a preventive approach.
• Partner with US leadership on people plans, performance, hiring, training, and retention.
