Job summary

Anthro Energy is hiring its first Head of People to build a talent engine as we scale from R&D into manufacturing, spanning scientists, engineers, technicians and business staff across sites.

You will own recruiting and HR operations, partner with leadership on organizational design and performance, and design programs that sustain a culture of excellence, fairness and accountability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HR or People roles, including startup leadership.
• Broad generalist experience across recruiting, employee relations, compensation, performance and compliance.
• Comfort as a team of one, hands-on and strategic.
• Strong recruiting track record, including tech talent.
• Experience in hardware, deep tech or manufacturing across sites.
• Experience scaling a company from 100 to 300+ employees.
• Multi-state employment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the people function end to end to scale with the company.
• Own talent acquisition across functions and geographies with a rigorous, equitable process.
• Partner with leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, performance and employee relations.
• Develop managers through hands-on coaching and practical frameworks.
• Design onboarding, performance, compensation, equity, benefits and LOAs.
• Establish scalable HR operations and ensure compliance across sites and states.
• Cultivate a culture grounded in excellence, fairness and accountability as we scale.
• Bring data and metrics to people decisions.
• Build a small but mighty people team and leverage external resources.
