Atlas Search in Manhattan is seeking an experienced payroll leader for a financial services client. This onsite role oversees full-cycle payroll, multi-state tax compliance, and benefits administration, partnering with Accounting and HR to drive reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in payroll tax, strong Workday skills, managerial experience, and advanced Excel capabilities to ensure accurate payroll processing across states and the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience of Payroll Tax Experience
• Must have Multi State Tax Payroll Experience
• Extensive and thorough knowledge of federal, multi-state, and local wage and hour, garnishment, and tax regulations
• Must have managerial experience
• Must have Workday Experience
• Intermediate/Advanced skills in Excel

Responsabilités

• Oversee full-cycle payroll operations, including U.S. (multi-state).
• Manage and mentor a team of two payroll professionals.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations; act as a subject matter expert on payroll tax issues.
• Handle year-end tax reconciliations, including W-2s (U.S.).
• Partner with Accounting and HR leadership on payroll reporting and analysis.
• Lead benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and claims management.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in Workday payroll and benefits systems.
