Logoslabs is seeking a Head of Payments & Identity to build and lead an engineering domain covering payments, KYC/Identity, anti‑fraud and Core Ledger. You will oversee ~30 engineers and leaders, shaping the organization, architecture and delivery roadmap.

You will balance customer conversion with security, compliance and financial integrity, driving modernisation of critical systems and delivering reliable data for reconciliation and reporting across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a sizeable engineering organization or multiple cross-functional teams (≈30+ people).
• Track record of building or scaling an engineering function or complex platform.
• Strong systems thinking connecting customer journeys, product flows, and architectural decisions.
• Experience with complex integrations and mission‑critical systems requiring security and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the payments, identity, fraud and ledger engineering domain.
• Lead ~30 engineers and leaders, defining structure, boundaries and ownership.
• Define domain strategy, architecture and roadmap with Product, Finance, Compliance, Risk and Ops.
• Ensure seamless interaction across user and money lifecycles and accurate Core Ledger records.
• Improve integrations with payment providers, KYC/AML vendors, regionally varying APIs.
• Guarantee resilience, observability, security and incident response for external integrations.
• Balance onboarding, conversion with fraud controls, data protection and traceability.
• Provide Finance, Compliance, Risk and Ops with reliable data and tooling for reconciliation and reporting.
• Establish domain-wide standards for architecture, quality, security and observability.
• Modernize critical systems toward a central Ledger architecture.
• Define and track metrics for conversion, reliability and cost efficiency.
