Qualia’s Engineering organization in Austin is seeking an Engineering Manager, Payments to lead the Payments team, drive end-to-end money movement platforms, and own reliability and regulatory alignment. This builder/player-coach role will shape how the Payments team operates and collaborates with compliance, security, and product partners.

You will mentor engineers, own critical payment rails and integration with banking partners, and help scale billions of dollars in annual volume while

Competenze

• 5+ years as a strong full-stack web developer.
• 2+ years leading a payments engineering team.
• Direct experience with money-movement systems or fintech.

Mansioni

• Lead hands-on Engineering Manager (Player/Coach) to build the payments team.
• Design, build, and maintain systems that process ACH and wire transfers at scale.
• Implement controls for fraud prevention, verification, and anomaly detection.
• Own architectural decisions for payments infrastructure and data integrity.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Accounting to meet NACHA, SOC 2, PCI standards.
