Job summary

VaxCare Corp. in Orlando, FL seeks a Senior Director of Payer Operations to build and lead the function translating payer contracts into scalable operations.

You will shape the operating model, governance, and processes for contract abstraction, enrollment, and reimbursement configuration. Reporting to the Head of Payments, you will partner with Market Access, RCM, Product, Technology, Finance and Legal to ensure terms are accurately reflected in systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in payer operations or related healthcare field.
• Proven success building or transforming a payer operations function.
• Deep knowledge of commercial and government payer requirements, enrollment and reimbursement.
• Experience translating contracts into operational requirements across enrollment, configuration and billing.
• Experience in high-volume, multi-site environments such as pharma or vaccines.
• Strong analytical, executive communication and cross-functional leadership.
• Based in Central Florida with occasional travel (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model for payer contracts to enable scale and governance.
• Lead provider enrollment, credentials and roster maintenance.
• Translate payer terms into clear configuration, billing rules and testing plans.
• Establish governance and a shared payer dashboard with KPIs and cross-functional reviews.
• Partner with Product, Technology, Finance and Legal to implement configurations and changes.
• Drive issue resolution and remediation of enrollment, configuration and reimbursement defects.
