Job summary

SHL Medical AG seeks a Head of Operations Engineering US for its new state-of-the-art device manufacturing facility in North Charleston, SC. You will lead the Operations Engineering group within the Global Industrialization team, guiding CI, automation, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.

The role requires a strong background in medical device manufacturing, with 10+ years of experience and proven leadership in complex, regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, science or equivalent.
• 10+ years in medical device development, engineering or manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a detailed manufacturing excellence strategy for the site.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Development leadership to deliver operational results.
• Lead a local team of manufacturing experts and mentor for CI, Digitalization and automation initiatives.
• Oversee equipment/process design, build, installation, commissioning/validation and sustaining to world class OE&E.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and CAPEX projects to support growth.
• Partner with R&D on new product introductions and advanced manufacturing processes.
