Job summary

SHL Medical in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a Head of Operations Engineering US to lead the Operations Engineering group within the Global Industrialization team at our new device manufacturing site.

You will drive manufacturing excellence, build a cross-functional team of experts, guide automation initiatives, and partner with R&D to launch advanced processes while delivering on cost, quality, and schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in medical device engineering/manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of injection molding, metal forming, automated assembly.
Experience with regulations for medical devices.
Digitalization and automation experience.
Proven RCA and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and deadline discipline.
Proven track record in building and developing teams.

Responsibilities

Lead development of a manufacturing excellence strategy for the site.
Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Development leadership to deliver operational results.
Lead local team of manufacturing experts and develop their skills.
Oversee equipment design, installation, validation and sustaining.
Identify efficiency improvements and CAPEX projects.
Partner with R&D on new product introductions and automation initiatives.
Ensure on-time, on-budget automation and CI programs.
Mentor functional teams and drive CI and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
