Job summary

Oracle in Nashville seeks an experienced Senior Director of Power Generation Operations to lead both primary and secondary generation assets at on-site data centers. You will develop MOPs to protect compute load during transitions and collaborate with training teams to improve repair and maintenance programs.

You will recruit and manage teams to achieve 100% availability and coordinate power plant agreements for uptime targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in power generation ops with 5+ years in leadership.
• Deep knowledge of primary and secondary on-site power generation tech.
• Experience with power data halls, ramp rate control, and energy agreements.
• Proven skills in MOP development, training, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience with regulatory compliance for power operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams for operations and maintenance of power generation assets.
• Develop and maintain MOPs for compute load protection during transitions.
• Deliver training programs for generation system staff.
• Negotiate and manage on-site power plant agreements.
• Recruit and lead teams to ensure 100% system availability.
• Monitor performance metrics for reliability and incident response.
• Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Escalate and coordinate rapid resolution of high-severity incidents.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
