Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in software development with at least 4+ years in people management.
• Hands-on AI/ML platform engineering, model serving, or agent frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience with high-scale distributed systems, vector databases, and observability pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Build, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers.
• Technical Strategy: Deliver foundational components for multi-agent systems and lead MCP/A2A adoption.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Platform, and Data Science teams to embed AI capabilities across Atlassian.
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high-reliability services (4 9s SLA) while optimizing for cost and latency.
• Industry Influence: Contribute to open specifications and represent Atlassian in AI interoperability groups.
