Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in software development with at least 4+ years in people management
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platform engineering, model serving or agent frameworks
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
• Experience with high-scale distributed systems, vector databases, and observability pipelines
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Platform and Data Science teams

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Build, coach, and mentor a team of software engineers
• Technical Strategy: Deliver foundational components for multi-agent systems and lead adoption of MCP and A2A
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Platform, and Data Science teams to embed AI capabilities
• Operational Excellence: Maintain high-reliability services with 4 9s SLA while optimizing costs and latency
• Industry Influence: Contribute to open specifications and represent Atlassian in AI interoperability groups
