Job summary

Pura is seeking a VP of Software Engineering to lead the Mobile App, Cloud/Backend, and Connected Platform Engineering teams. You will own the full software stack linking the smart diffuser to the Pura app in real time, from firmware connectivity to cloud services and user experience.

You will scale platforms securely for millions of devices, recruit and develop top engineering talent, manage budgets, and partner with Product and Executives to shape a multi‑year roadmap.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Proven track record scaling cloud and mobile apps for millions of users/devices.
• Experience with security and data privacy in consumer connected devices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead software org: direct Mobile App, Cloud/Backend, and Connected Platform teams.
• Architect and scale cloud services, APIs, and device connectivity globally.
• Guide features from concept to release across iOS, Android, and cloud.
• Ensure security and privacy across Owner data and devices.
• Build and manage budgets, roadmap with Product and Exec teams.
