Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Director of Microgrid & Distributed Energy Strategy to lead end-to-end development of energy projects, from identification to energization. You will build technoeconomic models, manage permitting and interconnection, and drive partnerships with developers, EPCs, utilities and financiers.

The role emphasizes leadership, engineering depth, and commercial judgment in a fast-paced, energy-first AI infrastructure company. Remote-based in Texas with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineer with deep experience designing and executing large-scale microgrid and distributed energy systems.
• Experience building technoeconomic models translating design choices into cost, reliability, and schedule outputs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of distributed energy and microgrid projects from identification to energization.
• Manage permitting, interconnection, and construction accountability through energization.
• Develop market-ready templates and partnerships across developers, EPCs, utilities, and financiers.
• Publish technically grounded research to strengthen Crusoe's credibility.
