Job summary

CLEAR is building the secure identity company of the future. As Director of Engineering, Members Platform, you will lead the organization responsible for delivering seamless, secure member experiences and own the platforms powering membership, identity proofing and biometrics at scale.

You will drive strategy and execution with Engineering Managers and senior ICs, partner with Product, Security and Leadership, own vendor integrations across CRM, payments and billing, and uphold engineering

Qualifications

• 4+ years of leading and scaling engineering organizations, including managing managers and teams of 20+ engineers.
• Drive large-scale platform initiatives such as system re-architecture or multi-tenant developments.
• Set a high bar for engineering excellence through strong technical judgment.
• Build and sustain high-performance teams with ownership and accountability.
• Deliver measurable outcomes in fast-paced, complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute technical strategy and roadmap for member-facing platforms.
• Lead and develop a team of Engineering Managers and senior ICs.
• Partner with Product, Security and Engineering leadership to align priorities, architecture, and delivery.
• Own vendor strategy and integrations across CRM, payments, and billing platforms.
• Establish and uphold engineering standards, driving reliability, observability and operational excellence.
