Job summary

Xavier University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (XUCOM) invites applications for a 12-month Director of Medical Education in Cincinnati. The role oversees the Department of Medical Education, coordinating the curriculum delivery, exams, and assessment for medical students and the MA Biomedical Science program.

The position requires a Master’s in Education with at least 5 years in medical education, experience with NBOME/NBME exams, and proficiency in Canvas and ExamSoft.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical education with progressive responsibility.
• Experience with NBOME/NBME self-assessment exams and ExamSoft in-house exams desirable.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and learning new software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead/manage a team of Medical Education Specialists and oversee curriculum delivery and assessment via Canvas and ExamSoft.
• Oversee approval, registration, review, and management of COMLEX, COMSAE, and COMAT testing processes.
• Coordinate data collection for LMS/assessment systems and ensure accurate data flow to leadership.
• Collaborate with departmental leadership to ensure COCA and HLC accreditation compliance.
