SA Metal Group is seeking a detail-oriented Fitters Manager to lead and manage the Fitters team. You will oversee maintenance programs, supervise quality and efficiency, and ensure safe, reliable operation of production machinery.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and Divisional Directors of Engineering, you will plan KPIs, timekeeping, overtime, and OHSA compliance. A Red Seal or higher in mechanical fitting and extensive maintenance leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Qualified Mechanical Fitter Red Seal or suitable higher qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years in heavy industry maintenance.
• At least 5 years of proven management experience.
• Strong administrative ability and good communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsabilités

• Implement and manage routine, planned and preventive maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment.
• Monitor quality and efficiency of the team’s work and report issues or improvements to Engineering management.
• Manage mechanical inspections on production machinery as required.
• Ensure compliance with in-house maintenance program and safety procedures.
• Lead critical breakdown repairs and assist with diagnostics as needed.
• Oversee timekeeping, attendance, overtime and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with HR on staff concerns and disciplinary matters.
• Develop and track KPIs for the engineering team in CMMS system.
