Job summary

Research Group in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead site maintenance across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will plan, supervise, and optimize preventive/predictive programs, manage equipment commissioning, and coordinate with vendors and plant departments to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years of site maintenance experience in a manufacturing operation.
• 5+ years of leadership and management of teams.
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as plastics, rubber, chemicals, steel, etc.
• Experience overseeing robust preventive/predictive maintenance programs, SOP/SWI development, Lean, and Maintenance Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manages equipment installations and new equipment commissioning.
• Oversees Preventative Maintenance program with standardization and spare parts management.
• Conducts RCFA investigations as required.
• Implements and manages site CMMS.
• Oversees daily maintenance functions including project planning, breakdowns and repairs; coordinates electrical, machining and tooling requirements.
• Develops and fabricates new equipment and tooling; maintains facility grounds, equipment and tools.
• Selects and develops local vendors and external support relationships.
• Partners with plant departments to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment.

Job description

• Manages equipment installations & new equipment commissioning.
• Manages Preventative Maintenance program with standardization & site critical spare parts management using an equipment condition assessment program.
• Conducts equipment FMEAs and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations as required.
• Implements and manages site CMMS aligned with company expectations.
• Oversee and participate in all daily maintenance functions such as project planning for materials, preventative maintenance, breakdowns and repairs; coordinates all electrical, machining and tooling requirements, develops and fabricates new equipment and tooling; upkeep of facility grounds, equipment and tools.
• Selects and develops local vendors & relationships for third party, external support.
• Partners with other plant departments to ensure priority is given to the safe and efficient operation of equipment and machinery.

Requirements

• A High school diploma or equivalent required; A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with Engineering a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in site Maintenance in a manufacturing operation…Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic skills are ideal.
• 5+ years of Leadership and Management of teams
• Any Manufacturing Industry is acceptable…Continuous Processing is ideal…Plastics, Rubber, Chemicals, Steel, etc.
• Experience overseeing robust preventative/predictive maintenance programs, SOP / SWI development, Lean, and Maintenance Excellence.
