Job summary

Laxmi Therapeutic Devices is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a small team of engineers in developing a wearable diagnostic device platform. You will oversee mechanical design, packaging, and manufacturability, coordinating with Chemistry, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams to meet milestones and business goals.

Ideal candidates have a BS+ in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in industry, proven leadership, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or related disciplines.
• 5+ years’ experience in industry
• Leadership experience during technical activities required
• Ability to communicate complexity in a simple and straightforward way
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and capabilities
• Ability to lead and train less experienced engineers in GD&T
• Knowledge of ISO13485/FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality Systems, and FDA requirements is highly desired, but not required

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers in a small company to achieve success while taking on a broad range of responsibilities
• Oversee development of Technical Designs in keeping with system requirements and business goals in collaboration with Chemistry, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams
• Proactively manage milestones and deliverables while identifying and mitigating risks to achieve strategic goals
• Manage delivery of a commercial product from conception through verification and assembly
• Oversee reporting and presentations of critical technical deliverables
• Manage assigned deliverables and priorities of projects to achieve project milestones and business objectives
• Supervise and provide technical leadership in all aspects of mechanical related product research and development, including but not limited to mechanical design, wearable device design, applicator design, and packaging design
• Lead, coach, and train less experienced engineers in engineering/commercialization, communication across the company, and teamwork
• Engage in and help drive conceptual idea generation and intellectual property development
• Other duties as assigned
