Job summary

Laxmi Therapeutic Devices is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a small team in the development of our wearable diagnostic devices. You will guide cross-functional efforts and ensure designs meet system requirements and business goals.

You will mentor engineers, manage milestones, and communicate with company leaders while driving risk mitigation and bringing a cutting-edge CGM/diabetes-related device toward commercialization.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or related disciplines.
• 5+ years’ experience in industry.
• Leadership experience during technical activities.
• Ability to communicate complexity in a simple and straightforward way.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
• Knowledge of ISO13485/FDA 21 CFR Part 820 Quality Systems and FDA requirements is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of engineers in a small company to achieve success while taking on a broad range of responsibilities
• Oversee development of Technical Designs in keeping with system requirements and business goals in collaboration with Chemistry, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams
• Proactively manage milestones and deliverables while identifying and mitigating risks to achieve strategic goals
• Manage delivery of a commercial product from conception through verification and assembly
• Oversee reporting and presentations of critical technical deliverables
• Manage assigned deliverables and priorities of projects to achieve project milestones and business objectives
• Supervise and provide technical leadership in all aspects of mechanical related product research and development, including but not limited to mechanical design, wearable device design, applicator design, and packaging design
• Lead, coach, and train less experienced engineers in engineering/commercialization, communication across the company, and teamwork
• Engage in and help drive conceptual idea generation and intellectual property development
• Other duties as assigned
