About BoostSecurity
Coding agents now write, test and ship a large share of the world’s code. BoostSecurity makes that safe. We protect the developer endpoint, the software supply chain and the application itself, so security teams can let developers and their agents move fast without losing control.
Customers include Red Hat, Mattel, Travelport, Demandbase, Workato and Gusto.
We are an early-stage company based in Montréal, and this is our first dedicated demand generation leadership hire.
The role
You will own pipeline. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role reporting to the founder/CEO, accountable for marketing-sourced pipeline and the programs that create it. You will build our demand engine from its current foundation, run it yourself before you scale it with hires and agencies, and be the person who drives adoption, not just the person who configures the tools.
We have three motions to connect into one engine:
- Developer adoption: a free developer tool that creates product-qualified leads from real usage.
- Enterprise demand: original security research, content and account-based programs aimed at security leaders at regulated, complex organizations.
- Partners: co-marketing and co-selling with platform partners, starting with Microsoft.
What you will do
- Own the marketing-sourced pipeline number and report on it weekly with sales.
- Build and run the demand plan across paid search and social, ABM, SEO/AEO, webinars, email nurture and events. Double down on what produces meetings and cut what doesn’t.
- Turn our security research and incident response content into campaigns that generate first meetings, not just impressions.
- Build the path from free tool usage to qualified sales conversations, with SDRs and sales.
- Run field and event programs at the security conferences that matter to our buyers.
- Partner with the CEO on positioning and messaging so every campaign tells one clear story.
- Set up the measurement that ties spend to pipeline, velocity and CAC. You choose the tools; they serve the plan.
- Hire and manage contractors, agencies and, as we grow, your first team members.
What we are looking for
- Proven demand generation ownership: you have personally owned a pipeline target and can walk us through the numbers you moved (pipeline, meetings, inbound share, CAC).
- Hands-on with the standard toolkit (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog or similar) and comfortable in a CMS.
- A working understanding of how LLM-based search and answer engines retrieve, rank and cite sources, and a clear point of view on what's real versus hype in AEO.
- Strong technical SEO fundamentals; you write specs engineers can act on.
- Early-stage cybersecurity experience: you have been the first or near-first marketing leader at a cybersecurity startup, or grew from an early role into clear ownership of the marketing function.
- Hands-on operator: you write the brief, launch the campaign and read the dashboard yourself. You are comfortable without a large team.
- Credibility with technical buyers: you can market to security leaders and developers without sounding like a vendor, and you enjoy working with researchers and engineers.
- Commercial partnership: you work in lockstep with sales and treat a qualified meeting, not a lead, as the unit that matters.
Nice to have
- Experience in application security, software supply chain security or developer tools.
- Experience with product-led growth funnels and converting free users to enterprise opportunities.
- Experience with partner and marketplace programs (e.g. Microsoft).
- Experience using AI to speed up research, targeting and campaign production.

- Define the marketing function at a company protecting a category that barely existed two years ago.
- Work directly with the founder, with real budget and the autonomy to spend it where it works.
- Competitive base salary, performance bonus and meaningful equity. 5 week paid time off. Learning benefits.
