MGT Insurance is seeking a Head of Marketing to shape and build out our marketing function. This role blends high‑level strategy with hands‑on execution, partnering with the team to set direction and drive it into reality.

Based in a hybrid environment with onsite presence in Denver, Madison, or San Francisco, the role offers a base salary of $190,000–$260,000 plus a performance‑based bonus and equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

MGT Insurance is looking for a Head of Marketing to help shape and continue building out our marketing function. This role is a mix of high-level strategy and hands‑on execution, working closely with the team — you'll set the direction and help make it happen, not just advise from the sidelines.

What You’ll Own

• Strategic direction: Marketing strategy; define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market priorities aligned with MGT's growth goals.
• Hands‑on execution: Roll up your sleeves alongside the team on campaigns, content, and channels. This role blends strategy with real, hands‑on execution.
• Team & systems: Advise on and support investment in marketing infrastructure (tools, processes, reporting) for a growing team.
• Measurement: Establish KPIs and reporting cadence so leadership has visibility into what's working.

Key Priorities (First 6–12 Months)

• Sharpen MGT's brand positioning and market presence.
• Refine and invest in a scalable demand generation engine.
• Bring structure and rigor to marketing operations and reporting.
• Explore insurance-specific go-to-market channels (e.g., agents/brokers) as relevant.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Proven track record as a senior marketing leader (10+ yrs), ideally in a growing organization.
• Background: Insurance or financial services experience preferred but we're open to strong generalist marketing leaders from other industries.
• Style: Comfortable operating at both the strategic and execution level, working hands‑on with the team day to day.
• Values fit: Alignment with MGT's virtues of grit, integrity, innovation, and drive.

Location

Hybrid minimum 3 days a week onsite based in Denver, CO, Madison, WI, or San Francisco, CA

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $190,000 – $260,000 annually. Compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for performance‑based bonus and equity, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
