Job summary

Oklo in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Director of Market Analytics to lead market research, price forecasting, load growth analysis, and competitive intelligence essential to site selection, offtake negotiations, and project finance models. You will partner with Land & Real Estate and Finance to inform revenue inputs.

You will build and mentor a team, manage data infrastructure with major vendors, and shape multi‑product revenue strategies across power, isotope, and research outputs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in power market analysis, energy economics, or related field.
• Deep expertise in US wholesale electricity markets: ISO/RTO market structure, pricing, ancillary services, transmission.
• Proven experience building long-term power market forecasts for investment decisions or M&A.
• Strong financial modeling skills; experience building revenue models for generation assets.

Responsibilities

• Own long-term power market forecasting across target geographies: prices, capacity, ancillary services, and carbon costs.
• Develop market models for AI datacenter load growth, electrification, retirements, new build, and transmission constraints.
• Produce market assessments to support site selection and project prioritization.
• Monitor ISO/RTO results, market dynamics, and grid planning studies.
• Provide market intelligence to support PPA negotiations and credit analysis.
• Track energy policy, IRA 45U PTC, state standards, and carbon markets.
• Monitor FERC rulemaking and market design changes impacting interconnection economics.
• Produce quarterly market intelligence briefings for senior leadership and board.
