Job summary

Charter Steel is seeking a Director of Operations Technology to provide strategic leadership for centralized OT, Automation and Controls across six facilities. You will partner with Operations, Plant Leadership and Corporate IT to drive performance and reliable, secure systems.

You will lead a high-performing organization, shape technology strategy, establish governance and operating rhythms, and drive capital planning, vendor partnerships, and safety culture across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology required.
• Demonstrated experience leading leaders and developing high-performing technical teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Experience with budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with ERP and automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Charter Steel’s centralized Operations Technology, Automation and Controls across six manufacturing facilities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing organization with focus on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Shape the technology strategy and align priorities with business objectives; evaluate emerging technologies and ensure value delivery.
• Establish governance, operating rhythms, and performance measures to improve execution and reliability.
• Drive capital planning, vendor partnerships, and sourcing strategies to support long-term growth.
