Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Associate Director – TS/MS (MSAT) to lead a technical organization overseeing biological and bioconjugate manufacturing processes, in collaboration with engineering, IT, operations and quality. The TS/MS function provides oversight to ensure robust biology and chemistry across the manufacturing process while controlling variability for reliable medicine supply.

You will build and coach a high-performing team to operate the Goochland County site from startup through process

Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years in biopharma.
Minimum 3+ years in a people leadership role.
Experience in GMP manufacturing operations and supporting regulatory inspections and audits.

Responsibilities

Lead a technical organization to oversee biological and bioconjugate manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with engineering, IT, operations and quality to ensure robust processes.
Review and approve documentation, deviation investigations, change controls, and validation protocols.
Determine staffing and resources to support startup, qualifications and validations.
Develop robust control strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Coach and mentor direct reports to build long-term leadership capability.
Ensure site readiness to operate on schedule and in state control.
