Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Associate Director – TS/MS / MSAT for Bioconjugate/Drug Product Manufacturing in Goochland County, VA. This leader will build and guide a high-performing TS/MS organization to ensure robust biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes as the site starts up for GMP operations.

The role partners with engineering, IT, operations and quality to drive regulatory compliance, process qualifications and validations, and continuous improvement in a digitally native plant environment.

Qualifications

• BS,MS,or PhD in biology/biochemistry/chemistry/chemical engineering or related, with 5+ years in biopharma.
• Minimum of 3+ years in a people leadership role.
• Experience in GMP manufacturing operations and regulatory inspections/audits.
• Experience in biological drug product manufacturing; expertise in lyophilization development/optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead a technical organization to oversee biological and bioconjugate manufacturing.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and performance management to direct reports.
• Determine TS/MS staffing and resource needs during startup and qualifications.
• Assist in development of robust control strategies for regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve documentation (procedures, deviations, reports, change controls).
• Support project team to ready facility for operation on schedule.
