Job summary

Sartorius AG in Yauco, Puerto Rico invites applications for a Head of Operations to lead our manufacturing operations and oversee a major technology transformation across a 200,000+ sq ft facility with multiple shifts and diverse production technologies. You will optimize materials, labor and equipment, drive continuous improvement, and champion automation, digital manufacturing and data‑driven quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Industrial Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee availability and efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production plans and minimize downtime across multiple production areas, technologies, and shifts.
• Optimize resource utilization at scale, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.
• Monitor and act on site performance metrics, escalating risks and leading cross-functional corrective actions to meet production targets while maintaining safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies, e.g., AI systems, automation, and digital manufacturing systems.
• Champion modernization of operations and elevation of site performance.
• Maintain site compliance with EHS, GMP and regulatory standards, ensuring audit readiness and timely resolution of findings.
• Lead the integration of new technologies and process improvements across large-scale operations with change management across teams.
• Cultivate a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement with strong shop floor engagement.
