Hotel ZaZa Austin seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering team, oversee maintenance operations, and ensure safety and luxury standards across all spaces. You will manage preventive programs, building systems, and energy initiatives while guiding capital projects and vendor relations.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and availability for evenings, weekends, and emergencies to protect guest experience and assets.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of hotel engineering teams in luxury environments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Experience managing budgets and capital projects within hospitality operations.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day engineering operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to protect asset value and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor energy usage and implement efficiency initiatives to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, local codes, and brand standards.
• Lead project planning, vendor selection, and contract management for capital improvements.
• Coordinate emergency response and maintain reliable building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and life safety.
