We unite 350+ international strategists, communicators, and creators to achieve mission-critical objectives for public and private clients worldwide. We do so by helping global leaders, businesses, and institutions better understand, navigate, and mitigate risk, enhancing decision making and strengthening our clients' strategic positions.

Forward Global prides itself on being an entrepreneurial firm with a close-knit, supportive team of professionals. Our model blends sophistication with agility.

Position Overview

Forward Global's corporate intelligence and investigations team in Washington, D.C. or New York City is seeking an experienced practitioner to grow and lead our litigation and arbitration support and complex investigations offerings. The candidate will be a member of Forward Global's U.S. corporate intelligence and investigations arm, Forward Risk, which specializes in corporate investigations, strategic intelligence, and political risk advisory.

The candidate will focus primarily on business development, while also contributing strategic guidance to grow our investigations team and build Forward Global's brand in the U.S. In addition, the candidate will play a high-level role managing high-stakes matters and will actively mentor team members, with the aim of building a robust and world class litigation support practice.

Main Responsibilities
Business Development
  • Leverage proven commercial track record to raise Forward Global's profile and expand our client base, particularly among law firms.

  • Represent Forward Global at major conferences, including as a panelist demonstrating subject matter expert knowledge (e.g. related to complex disputes), and play an active role as an industry thought leader.

  • Proactively cross-sell the full range of Forward Global's service offerings (including due diligence, illicit trade, political risk, government relations, crisis and reputation management, strategic communications and cybersecurity services) into U.S. markets.

  • Meet or exceed aggressive sales targets, both as a sole contributor and as part of a team.

Client Management
  • Establish durable relationships with clients and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Negotiate proposals and contracts.

Case and People Management
  • Build a robust litigation and arbitration support practice, including harnessing outstanding existing talent and expanding technical expertise through targeted, specialized recruitment.

  • Mentor and train researchers with shared areas of focus.

  • Manage (at a high level) certain complex, high-stakes investigations.

  • Play a key role in working with public affairs and government affairs colleagues to raise Forward Global's profile.

Strategy and Analysis
  • Participate in leadership meetings and offer insight and analysis that supports strategic decision-making.

  • Provide expert-level advice on protecting and growing profitable revenue streams.

Ideal Candidate
  • At least 15 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years of experience in the corporate investigations industry as a practitioner conducting litigation and/or arbitration support

  • Proven network of relationships with law firms, general counsels and litigation funders

  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and growing client relationships, independently and as part of a team

  • Self-starter with ability to operate effectively by leveraging relationships and without major business development infrastructure

  • Superior case management skills and experience - and interest - in training team members to be case managers and execute complex matters

  • Commitment to exemplary client service delivery

  • Strong people management skills to attract and retain top talent

  • Experience working in an international environment

  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis to other Forward Global offices, as well as to client and business development meetings as needed
