Zusammenfassung

The Brydon Group seeks an experienced Chief Legal Officer to lead the firm’s internal legal function. You will partner with partners across investments, fund operations, governance, and portfolio matters, guiding strategic decisions and driving practical, scalable legal processes as the firm scales.

Based in Washington, DC, you will own core transactional work, manage outside counsel, and provide strategic legal support to portfolio companies and leadership.

Qualifikationen

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; D.C. Bar a plus.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience with private equity or fund formation exposure.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills across a range of agreements.
• Experience handling portfolio, governance, and fund-related matters.

Aufgaben

• Serve as Brydon’s internal legal lead on investments, fund operations, and governance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate firm-level agreements including vendor contracts and IP matters.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on M&A, financing, and complex transaction docs.
• Support post-closing matters, including working capital and earnouts, and governance issues.
• Advise portfolio company leadership on significant governance, commercial, and risk matters.
