Job summary

Blue Signal LLC. seeks a Chief Legal Officer to establish and lead the legal function during a period of rapid growth. The role reports to the Founder and CEO and partners across finance, development, and operations on infrastructure investments and long-term strategy.

The CLO will serve as the senior legal advisor across corporate, commercial, financing, development, and regulatory matters, building scalable operations and guiding governance, risk, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership.
• 12+ years of transactional experience in infrastructure, energy, project finance, construction, or commercial real estate.
• Experience establishing or leading an in-house legal function is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to negotiate and close sophisticated, high-value transactions with strong communication and business judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for complex infrastructure, real estate, construction, financing, and strategic commercial agreements.
• Advise leadership on governance, corporate structuring, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Support land acquisition, development, zoning, and related property transactions.
• Build scalable legal operations, including contract management and compliance programs; oversee outside counsel.

The Chief Legal Officer will serve as the senior legal advisor across corporate, commercial, financing, development, and regulatory matters. Responsibilities include leading negotiations for complex infrastructure, real estate, construction, financing, and strategic commercial agreements; advising leadership on governance, corporate structuring, risk management, and regulatory compliance; and supporting land acquisition, development, permitting, zoning, and related property transactions.

The role will also build scalable legal operations, including contract management, compliance programs, and oversight of outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership, along with 12+ years of transactional experience supporting infrastructure, energy, project finance, construction, or commercial real estate. Prior experience establishing or leading an in-house legal function is strongly preferred, and the candidate should demonstrate a track record negotiating and closing sophisticated, high-value transactions, with strong communication, negotiation, and business judgment.
