Job summary

Talen Energy's Learning & Development team seeks a working team lead to guide learning professionals, assess, design, deliver, and evaluate technical, safety, and regulatory training across operating locations.

You will supervise staff, prioritize workloads, provide instructional design guidance, and partner with Plant Operations and corporate leaders to align learning with operational readiness and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Education, HR, or related field.
• Eight+ years progressive learning and development experience with instructional design expertise and leadership.
• Experience consulting with leaders and using LMS and instructional design tech.
• Strong project leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to travel to facilities and meet nuclear background requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop learning staff; set expectations and provide feedback.
• Guide instructional design and review workloads; ensure consistent standards.
• Partner with Plant Operations and Corporate leaders on capability gaps and priorities.
• Design, deliver, and improve technical, safety, compliance, and employee development training.
• Create assessments, videos, job aids, facilitator guides, and train-the-trainer programs.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness and drive improvements across locations.
