Job summary

Emergence is seeking its first Director of IT to build the IT function across a holding company and its portfolio. You will be the primary IT owner, coordinating with a fractional senior IT/Security advisor and a managed service provider to centralize capabilities while respecting portfolio practices.

This foundational role will shape how IT scales across multiple companies, covering acquisitions, identity management, and lifecycle workflows with emphasis on governance and cross-portfolio data

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT operations, administration, or MSP delivery with leadership experience.
• Experience running IT across multiple companies, business units, or clients.
• Proven ownership of IT workstreams for acquisitions, from due diligence to post-close rationalization.
• Deep knowledge of identity and access management (Okta, Entra, JumpCloud, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Run IT workstream for acquisitions, including stack inventory, access mapping, device setup, and system integration.
• Build and implement Day 1–100 acquisition integration playbook.
• Design joiner/mover/leaver workflows across the portfolio and ensure complete offboarding.
• Own the identity platform post-selection and rollout, including SSO, provisioning, and lifecycle workflows.
• Maintain inventory of tools, accounts, credentials, licenses, and renewal dates.
• Manage MSP relationship, SLAs, vendor contracts, and license consolidation.
• Build backend connections feeding cross-portfolio data platform.
