Finatal is seeking a practical, business‑oriented technology leader to guide portfolio technology, data, cybersecurity, and M&A workstreams. This role advises and executes across diverse portfolio companies, collaborating with executives and external partners to translate diligence into action.
The successful candidate will balance advisory and hands-on leadership, setting direction while driving detailed plans, roadmaps, and vendor strategies to scale the firm's technology platform.
Our client, a $10B AUM PE firm, is seeking a practical, business-oriented technology leader to strengthen execution across its portfolio. This individual will be the first direct report to the SVP of Integration & Operational Excellence and will assume primary responsibility for a defined portfolio of technology and transaction initiatives.
The role combines the judgment of a trusted advisor with the pace and accountability of an operator. The Director will work directly with portfolio-company executives, IT leaders, Investment Professionals, operating leaders, and external partners to translate diligence findings and business priorities into executable plans, reduce technology and cyber risk, and build scalable platforms that support growth.
This is not a centralized corporate IT role. Success requires influencing independent portfolio companies, adapting to different levels of maturity, moving several priorities forward at once, and knowing when to advise, when to challenge, and when to step in to drive execution.
Create visibility, establish priorities, and drive measurable progress across portfolio technology, data, cybersecurity, and M&A workstreams—while building the processes and partner network needed to scale the firm's support model.
An operator who is comfortable being both advisor (50%) and doer (50%): capable of setting direction, willing to work in the details, and disciplined about converting recommendations into sustained results.
The strongest candidate will be a broad technology operator who can move comfortably from an executive conversation about value creation to a detailed discussion about an ERP roadmap, cyber remediation plan, acquisition cutover, or vendor recovery strategy. This person is commercially minded, technically credible, low ego, and energized by helping multiple management teams solve different problems at different stages of maturity.
