Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) invites applications for Head of Professional Practices in Internal Audit. You will lead the QAIP, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with IIA Global Standards and regulatory guidance across the department.

This role requires a CIA, a BA/BS, and 10+ years in financial services audit, with strong leadership, communication, and policy development skills. Travel may be required, and the bank offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and CIA required.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Lead QAIP and continuous improvement initiatives for Internal Audit.
• Manage Internal Quality Assessment Review and outsourcing of External QA Review per IIA Global Standards.
• Maintain Audit Manual and update policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance on Internal Audit methodology.
• Support annual risk assessment and audit planning processes.
• Manage the training program for the department.
• Prepare Department reports to the Audit Committee with high-quality documentation.
• Monitor issue remediation and reporting processes.
• Oversee the audit program review process and recommend improvements.
• Provide system administration/support for audit workpapers alignment with standards.
• Monitor KPIs and KRIs; stay updated on risks and regulatory changes.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure collaboration.
• Perform other duties, including special projects and administrative tasks.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
