Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Head of Professional Practices to lead the Internal Audit QAIP and drive continuous improvement across the department. The role collaborates with leadership to align practices with IIA standards and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities include managing the QAIP, risk assessment support, and audit planning, while ensuring high-quality reporting to the Audit Committee and ongoing staff development within a culture of integrity and excellence.

Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A. degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and CIA required.
• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ten or more years’ of progressive financial, operational and compliance audit experience; management of professional practices or QAIP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead QAIP and continuous improvement initiatives within Internal Audit.
• Execute Internal Quality Assessment Review and manage External Quality Assessment Review outsourcing per IIA Global Standards.
• Maintain Audit Manual and update policies and procedures as required.
• Provide guidance on Internal Audit methodology and regulatory guidance.
