Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Director of IFE Hardware Products in California to lead the full lifecycle from concept to retirement. You will define the long-term vision, translate strategy into product direction, and align Engineering, Certification, Production, Sales, and Program Management to deliver portfolio growth.

The role drives executive reporting, budgets, and performance metrics while mentoring senior managers and shaping a competitive market position for IFE hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in product roles.
• 7+ years in management/leadership roles.
• Extensive IFE hardware experience and market knowledge.
• Strong strategic planning and lifecycle ownership for complex products.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term vision and strategy for the IFE hardware portfolio.
• Champion the product roadmap and secure executive alignment.
• Oversee design, feature definition, and lifecycle from concept to retirement.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor senior managers.
• Report portfolio performance to senior leadership.
