Job summary

Hopper is seeking a Principal Product Manager to build the HTS API Marketplace, the commercial and developer-facing layer through which enterprise partners access Hopper's lodging and cars capabilities. You will define packaging, pricing, and partner integration, working with engineering, data science, finance, and commercial teams to turn concepts into a revenue-generating platform.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, AI-driven demos, and a fully remote work model.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Product Management experience with at least one 0-to-1 product
• Experience building developer-facing or B2B marketplace products including API product design and packaging for enterprise customers
• AI-native working style with prototyping using AI tools before engineering handoff
• Strong understanding of marketplace economics including take rates and incentives
• Ability to coordinate across multiple product teams without owning engineering
• Experience working with external enterprise partners to translate needs into requirements
• Fluency with SQL and handling large-scale datasets
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for API and product docs

Responsibilities

• Define HTS API Marketplace structure, packaging, and pricing across capabilities
• Coordinate with capability PMs to translate roadmaps into external API products
• Own the commercial model for the marketplace (platform vs. variable fee, take rates)
• Build the developer and partner experience (APIs, onboarding, sandbox, docs)
• Prototype and test ideas with AI tools and mock APIs before engineering
• Define go-to-market motions and partner sequencing for launches
• Own marketplace revenue and unit economics with Finance support
