Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Senior Director, Health Timekeeping Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a centralized enterprise service overseeing time and attendance, workforce management, and payroll support across the Health system.

The role directs a 24/7 organization with governance, performance metrics, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure payroll accuracy and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organizational development, business administration, healthcare administration, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Seven or more years of leadership experience directing complex enterprise programs, operations, or workforce management.
• Expert knowledge of organizational effectiveness, strategic planning and process improvement.
• Experience with timekeeping, payroll operations, and payroll outcomes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary organizations and influence senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establishes strategic direction and governance for Health Timekeeping Services.
• Oversees enterprise timekeeping, scheduling, and payroll-related processes.
• Partners with UCPath, HR, Finance, IS, and operations for service delivery.
• Leads organizational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensures risk management, performance metrics, and customer outcomes.
