Our client is a growing biotech company preparing for a US product launch and is seeking a Head of HCP Marketing to lead the strategy and execution of its healthcare professional engagement efforts.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced pharmaceutical marketer who can develop the HCP strategy, shape broader brand direction, and mobilize cross-functional teams toward a successful launch. The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial judgment, executive presence, and a proven ability to operate effectively in competitive, high-visibility markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the U.S. HCP marketing strategy, including brand planning, customer segmentation, targeting, positioning, messaging, and engagement strategy.
  • Lead promotional strategy and execution across personal promotion, digital, omnichannel, peer-to-peer education, congresses, and other HCP-facing channels.
  • Translate customer insights, market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Drive launch readiness and commercialization activities, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, medical, and commercial operations.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to align brand strategy, field execution, messaging, training, and customer engagement.
  • Lead the development of promotional materials, sales tools, speaker programs, educational initiatives, and other customer-facing resources.
  • Develop and execute an integrated omnichannel strategy that creates a consistent and differentiated HCP experience.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and identify opportunities to differentiate the brand in a crowded and closely watched market.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide strategic recommendations, business insights, and performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing organization as the team grows.
What We're Looking For
  • 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical marketing, commercial strategy, or a closely related commercial function.
  • Significant experience leading HCP marketing and promotional strategy for specialty pharmaceutical brands.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading a major product launch, including pre-launch planning and launch readiness.
  • Experience working in competitive, highly visible markets where differentiation and strong customer engagement are critical.
  • Strong partnership with Sales and an understanding of how field teams translate brand strategy into customer engagement.
  • Experience in gastroenterology, immunology, inflammation, or another competitive specialty market is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated, omnichannel HCP strategies.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or building high-performing marketing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
Why This Opportunity?
  • High-visibility leadership role with significant influence over HCP and broader brand strategy.
  • Opportunity to shape commercialization strategy ahead of a major U.S. launch.
  • Significant cross-functional exposure and partnership with senior leadership.
  • Ability to help build and scale a growing marketing organization.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a rapidly evolving biopharmaceutical company.
