You will own materials, vendor relationships, and a design system that enables rapid manufacturing while ensuring rugged performance in real warehouse environments.

This leadership role requires deep electromechanical design expertise, strong change-control discipline, and an agile mindset to deliver reliable hardware at scale

Qualifications

• Track record of taking hardware from prototype to production at scale.
• Deep systems design experience across electromechanical hardware.
• Hands-on SWaP, shock, and vibration analysis for rugged hardware.
• Experience organizing hardware documentation and standing up change review processes.
• Bias for urgency with an agile mindset applied to hardware projects.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, setting roadmaps, and holding teams and partners accountable.

Responsibilities

• Own the transition of drone and MHE Vision hardware from validated prototype to production designed to scale by 100x.
• Define build materials and a design system that supports rapid manufacturing.
• Lead and grow a hands-on hardware team, setting weekly and quarterly priorities.
• Own contractor and vendor partnerships, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Implement change review, tracking, and documentation processes for rigorous engineering.
• Drive SWaP, shock, and vibration analysis to keep hardware lightweight and rugged.
