Job summary

Piris Labs seeks an experienced hardware leader to build and scale product development from architecture to production. You will guide cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier interactions while maintaining close alignment with business goals in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires owning complex hardware development, balancing performance with manufacturability, and driving reliable, scalable solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering and product development experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and senior technical leaders.
• Proven track record of bringing complex hardware from development into production.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and device-to-manufacturing interactions.
• Sound technical judgment, including decisions with incomplete information.
• Ability to move between executive priorities, product architecture, and detailed problem-solving.
• Clear communication, ownership, urgency, and practical execution approach.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering strategy, priorities, milestones, and accountability across the organization.
• Recruit, develop, and lead engineers, technical leads, and managers.
• Own product development from device and subsystem architecture through production.
• Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements and programs.
• Make system-level tradeoffs across performance, power, bandwidth, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and schedule.
• Identify critical technical risks early and drive practical plans to resolve them.
• Establish processes for design reviews, testing, reliability, yield, and production readiness.
• Work closely with foundries, packaging vendors, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on product strategy, hiring, customers, and company growth.
