Job summary

Carbon is seeking a Head of Production & Supply Chain Operations to lead hardware production and end-to-end logistics worldwide. This hands-on leader will build and coach high-performing teams, drive safety, quality, and cost efficiency, and ensure accurate inventory and freight management across global operations.

The role is based in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale, requiring in-office presence five days a week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production management role leading teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or related.
• Experience overseeing logistics, freight, and inventory functions and leading freight/inventory teams.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical aptitude for electromechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Disciplined, meticulous management of production operations, documentation, and quality systems.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving, with ability to partner with senior individual-contributor experts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hardware production team and end-to-end logistics and inventory operations.
• Champion safety, quality, and cost efficiency across production and warehousing.
• Own and improve production processes, QC checkpoints, and testing procedures.
• Plan budgets, labor, and material utilization to hit targets without compromising safety or quality.
• Oversee global inbound/outbound freight and inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to drive manufacturability and launches.
