Job summary

Jetson is seeking a Director of Hardware Product to own the vision, roadmap, and delivery across our all-electric home hardware portfolio, including heat pumps, water heaters, EV chargers, batteries, smart panels, and connected appliances.

This builder's leadership role requires aligning hardware, software, supply chain, field operations, and energy markets to make Jetson the most trusted brand in whole-home electrification.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including hardware or electrification
• 5+ years directly managing and growing product teams
• Experience bringing products from concept to lifecycle management in a hardware context
• Deep understanding of residential energy hardware ecosystems (heat pumps, batteries, EV charging, panels)
• Experience evaluating OEM partnerships and managing vendor relationships at a senior level
• Fluency across hardware and software domains with embedded systems and cloud familiarity
• Strong product principles, disciplined prioritization, and comfort with AI tools to speed execution

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year hardware roadmap across all product lines and decide market introductions
• Define build vs buy vs partner strategy with rigorous business cases
• Grow and coach a hardware product management team and scale the organization
• Establish operating rhythm for requirements, stage gates, and decision-making
• Own end-to-end NPI process from concept to scaled rollout
• Ensure products are installable, serviceable, and compliant with UL/CSA, NEC, and interconnection requirements
• Architect integrated home energy systems as a platform rather than SKUs
• Define data models, telemetry, and interoperability standards for energy orchestration
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Field Teams
• Shape pricing, bundling, and rebates to enable demand response and grid services
• Position Jetson vis-a-vis Tesla, Enphase, Span, and other players
