Job summary

TRMF is seeking a Director of Group Events to lead a team of event coordinators and oversee planning, execution, and delivery of large group and convention events. You will drive revenue growth and guest satisfaction by coordinating across sales, catering, and operations, while ensuring brand standards and client expectations are met.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and extensive experience in event management, with willingness to travel as needed and to work evenings

Qualifications

• 5+ years in event management, hospitality, or group/convention services
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing event teams or related staff
• CMP or similar certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, sales, marketing, or related field preferred
• Proven track record delivering large-scale complex events with high client satisfaction
• Experience collaborating with group sales and convention teams
• Familiarity with travel industry trends and market dynamics

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of event coordinators to drive performance and service excellence
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts across departments to deliver seamless group events
• Partner with sales leadership to support large group and convention opportunities
• Oversee feasibility, staffing, logistics, and service delivery for key accounts
• Directly manage high-profile VIP and complex events ensuring brand standards
• Develop pricing and revenue strategies with executive leadership
• Maintain relationships with major clients and industry partners
• Support post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement
